An MRI Study for Healthy Children & Adolescents (Ages 5 to 17)
 

Research Program Overview

We are interested in learning more about the brain: How it looks, works, and develops in children and adolescents.

By participating in our research program, your child will receive:

  • A full evaluation at no cost
  • $100 gift card (11 and younger) or check (12 and older) after first MRI scan
  • Another $100 after second MRI scan
 

Who Is Eligible to Participate?


Healthy control participants must be:

  • Between 5 and 17 years old
  • Not diagnosed with any psychiatric disorders
  • Not taking any current psychiatric medications or participating in psychotherapy
 

Study Procedures

  • Interviews: Including a medical history questionnaire and questions about your child's thoughts and emotions
  • Educational Lesson: Learn about the application of MRI to the study of brain development and psychiatric illness
  • Puzzles and Games
  • MRI Scan: Two MRI scans 12–16 weeks apart
 

Compensation

Study testing, medication, and evaluations will be provided at no cost to you. In addition, you and your child will receive compensation of up to $522 for participating in the study.
