CBT & Imaging Study for Pediatric OCD

This study aims to understand brain abnormalities underlying OCD by assessing brain changes following treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

By participating in our OCD treatment and research program, your child will receive:

  • A full diagnostic evaluation
  • Three months of CBT at no cost


Who Is Eligible to Participate?

Participants must be:

  • Between 5 and 17 years old
  • Diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Not be taking any current psychiatric medications or participating in psychotherapy


Study Procedures

  • A thorough diagnostic evaluation
  • 12 to 16 sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure and response prevention (ERP)
  • MRI scans before and after CBT treatment
  • Three months of follow-up treatment for OCD including medication care and/or CBT



Study testing, medication, and evaluations will be provided at no cost to you. In addition, you and your child will receive compensation of up to $240 for participating in the study.
