Lauren Shuffrey, PhD, is in her first year of the NIMH T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship for Translational Research in Child Psychiatric Disorders at Columbia University Medical Center. She received her PhD in neuroscience at Columbia University, working with Dr. Karen Froud in a high-density electroencephalography (EEG) laboratory and with Dr. Jeremy Veenstra-VanderWeele on randomized controlled trials for children with autism spectrum disorder. As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Shuffrey is working under the mentorship of Dr. William Fifer in the Division of Developmental Neuroscience. Dr. Shuffrey's primary research interests involve integrating multiple cognitive, behavioral, autonomic, and electrophysiological methods to gain insight into developmental trajectories and risk for neruodevelopmental disorders through longitudinal studies from the fetal period through early postnatal development.
